More than 50 years ago, Arlette van Oost, founder of Belgian fashion label Scapa, and later also Scapa Home, lost her heart to the beautiful, sheltered bay Scapa Flow, located in the Orkney Islands in Scotland - by Amber Interiors
Where in 1968 the successful Belgian fashion story started with the production of knitted sweaters by the local knitters of Orkney, Scapa has grown into a respectful and renowned fashion label. Scapa has already experienced several highlights, including Caroline of Monaco wore a Scapa outfit on her official engagement photo with Philippe Junot, Grace Kelly was a Scapa fan at the time and Catherine Deneuve came shopping in the Parisian boutique. Top designer Walter Van Beirendonck became artistic director of Scapa Sports, Scapa is now an official supplier to the Belgian Royal Family and to, among others, HRH Margarita Princess de Bourbon de Parme has the plaids and decorative cushions from Scapa Home on the sofa at home.

To dress up the seating areas in the meanwhile growing Scapa stores, armchairs were placed, decorated with decorative cushions and plaids. Of course in the same style as the clothing collection, timeless. The Scapa customer, modest and somewhat reserved, turned out to be very charmed by this collection. This is how Scapa Home came into being in 1994, just as exclusive and refined as the fashion label itself.
