The Toka Wall baskets are handmade from local roots in rural Zambia near the Victoria Falls. They are often given as wedding gifts to the Toka women. Only the most experienced Toka craftswomen are able to weave these baskets.

The weaving procedure is quite a process that can take months. The roots are cut, boiled, dried and colored with natural vegetable dye before weaving begins. Each weaver adds her own unique pattern about beauty, weddings and family, for example.
