Serax by Marie Michielssen Outdoor Lounersteat 'Valerie' in Black

Steel lounge chair Valerie, designed by Marie Michielssen for Serax, has become a classic thanks to its intriguing shape and powder-coated finish. This powder-coated black Steel version is suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. The chair is available in black, white, grey and green, and has now been expanded with a striking blue colour. A furniture design by Marie Michielssen always starts with a series of sketches on paper. She builds up the volumes with mathematical precision. The proportions must be perfect and adapted to the human body. For the Valerie lounge chair, she started with an elliptical base to which she added two rectangular surfaces, seat and back at a perfect angle that makes sitting comfortable.
